  Foxie Pole Dance

Foxie FAQs

We understand that starting something new can be a little scary and walking into a new environment can feel a little intimidating. We hope that the following FAQ's will be of assistance and alleviate some of those fears. However do feel free to contact us if you have any burning questions.

Can anyone pole dance?
Yes, everyone, there is no age, shape or size limit. (Please be aware that if you are under 18 parental consent is required - minimum age 16 at our discretion)

Do I need upper body strength or to be super fit?
No previous level of fitness or ability is necessary. Our aim is to share a balanced program that will improve all areas of you fitness and body strength.

Is a dance background essential?
No, formal dance experience is not required…in fact it doesn’t matter if you consider yourself to have two left feet. Our classes will improve your co-ordination, flexibility and self-confidence.

How do I know which class or level is the right one for me?
Our classes are graded by the level of competence required. If you have never done pole dance before we will start you off in a Beginners class and as your skill develops, you will have the opportunity to graduate to the next level. Each class is designed to build your strength, flexibility and knowledge to assist you to progress safely. If you have previous pole dance experience contact us so that we can discuss the appropriate class to place you in.

How soon will I be able to do something cool?
From the very first class we will be teaching you how to do moves (also known as tricks) using the pole. As you progress these will of course become “cooler”….. however there is something incredibly exciting and memorable about the first moves you ever do.

Does it matter if I have a previous injury or health issue?
If you have any doubts we suggest that you seek the advice of your doctor. We also ask that you share any information regarding your health with us so that we can tailor a more personalised program for you if necessary.

Is there anything particular I need to wear or bring to class?
For maximum comfort and grip we recommend that you wear either shorts or leggings (that can be rolled up) and a T.Shirt or tank top with a high neck &/or racer back. Changing rooms are available. We also suggest that you avoid putting on moisturizer prior to a class and don’t forget to bring your water bottle.

Still not sure if pole is for you?
